At Barrow Legal, our Sponsor Licence team provides strategic legal advice to UK businesses seeking to hire skilled workers from overseas. Whether you are applying for a new Sponsor Licence, managing compliance obligations, or responding to Home Office enquiries, our experienced solicitors guide you through every stage with clarity, efficiency, and confidence.Comprehensive Sponsor Licence Legal SupportOur immigration specialists combine legal expertise with practical business insight to help employers meet Sponsor Licence requirements and maintain compliance. From start-ups and SMEs to established organisations, we tailor our services to support your workforce needs, minimise risks, and ensure your sponsorship duties are fulfilled.Fee: from £3,000, depending on complexity (we do not charge VAT), plus the Home Office application fee, which depends on the size of your business. The fee covers the eligibility assessment, document review, HR systems check, preparation and submission of the application, and correspondence with the Home Office up to the decision. We act for employers across Scotland, the North West and the East Midlands, and can meet by video wherever you are based.
Sponsor licences no longer expire. Since 6 April 2024 the Home Office has stopped requiring renewals, so the risk to your licence now comes from compliance visits, which can be announced or unannounced, and from the reporting and record-keeping duties that continue for as long as you sponsor workers. We carry out a mock audit of your HR systems, right-to-work checks, Sponsor Management System records and reporting history, exactly as a Home Office compliance officer would, and give you a written action plan to fix any gaps before they are found. If a compliance visit has already been notified, we prepare your key personnel for the interview and attend with you where appropriate.Fixed fee, agreed in advance.
